Now anyone can be a National Artist. (God Help Us!!!)

Soooo, Who do you want to nominate?
I'm nominating Mother Lily for Film. If it wasn't for her, we wouldn't have Shake, Rattle and Roll.

and Nanay Dionesia for Dance. If it wasn't for her, we wont have another National Artist for Music in-the-making, Manny Pacquiao. Hey...baby-making is an art... and well, she said she can dance.

Maybe we can forward this to Malacañang or something.

-------

for those who live under a rock, let's have a recap.
Carlo J Caparas, director of massacre films like Vizconde Massacre :  (Jesus Save the Babies!) or putting any followup wont matter, became National Artist. Why? I don't know, maybe PGMA is a fan of massacre-slash-rape slay films. Hurray for the chop-chop lady!

For a complete list of movies:
1. The Lilian Velez Story: Till Death Do Us Part (1995)

2. The Marita Gonzaga Rape-Slay: In God We Trust! (1995)
3. The Maggie dela Riva Story (God... Why Me?) (1994)
4. The Untold Story: Vizconde Massacre 2 - God Have Mercy on Us (1994)
5. The Vizconde Massacre Story (God Help Us!)
6. Humanda ka Mayor!: Bahala na ang Diyos
7. Victim No. 1: Delia Maga (Jesus, Pray for Us!)
8. Lipa Arandia Massacre (Lord Deliver Us from Evil)
9. God Save Me! (1985)
10. Lipa Massacre: God Save the Babies!

[blog] Lord of the rings

It's all about highlights, turning points and milestones.

People usually attribute unforgettable experiences with clothes, songs, phrases, events or other items to act as remembrance for the unforgettable things that happened in their lives. Listening to Bonnie Bailey's "Ever After",  avoiding hearing a whispering "Happy Birthday" song, keeping a movie ticket spent with a special someone, getting haircuts, cleaning bedrooms, , the list goes on.

I buy silver rings to signify turning points in my life.

I already have 3,  one for my first vodka,  one for my high school graduation and  one for entering college.

My college ring's life is roughly... 8 years old. So that means, i am already studying for  8 years. Talk about a real life Van Wilder.

Then I came to realize after my course adjustment (just a while ago) that i only have 24 units to take so i can graduate. 18 for this term, and 6 for next term.

I just wanted to look at my college ring for sentimental purposes. 8 long years and it's still with me.

Then it shocked me. The ring was gone. My precious...gone. I didn't know how, i didn't know when, I didnt know why...

Does it mean college really is coming to an end for me? Does it mean HELLO UNEMPLOYMENT already? or does it mean im just too stupid to lose a ring even when it's just wrapped around my fingers?

I hope it's the third one. I think im still not ready to buy a new ring to signify entering the adult world.

Or maybe i can just buy another one to remind me that i lost a sentimental item from way before i started looking out for myself.

Now im wishfully thinking i can hear a a famous line in LOTR,
"YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" and just prolong my still longer stay in college.

Fanboy Moment

Ahem....may eavesdropper. Yun ang pumasok sa isip ko.

Napansin ko na familiar ang mukha niya.

Nagulat ako pagkatapos. Nginitian pa niya ako. Ako naman, genuine ang pagkagulat.

Katabi ko pala si...

Wala akong nasabi kundi, Ay shet. Hello po...im a fan.

---

Mula ngayon ay isasama ko na sa blog na ito ang mga instances with the REAL stars. Hindi yung mga nagfe-feeling lang tulad ng mga baguhang artista ngayon.

[blog] i died...technically

In accordance to March's Fire Prevention Month, CAMP BIG FALCON WAS BOMBED.

1:30PM
I was going around the building looking for people. The elevators were turned off so i had to use the stairs.

1:48PM
Security officers were inspecting every floor, instructing students as well as the faculty to leave the premises immediately. I was already wondering what's going to happen.

1:55PM
Since i had a fair knowledge of the school layout, i thought using the 3RD stairs was the best idea to go out of the building.

1:59PM
This lady, who supposedly opted to use the 3RD floor stairs told me "Dali...baba na! may..."

2:00PM
Then there was this loud explosion...

... ... ... ... ...

Apparently, CSB has a knack for loud and explosive fire drills. I've experienced 3 fire drills during my stay in school.

Today's fire drill was the best. [and worst]

The explosion came from the 3RD floor stairs which i was about to use to leave the school. The storage room in the 4TH was the exact location of the bombing. If you could compute the explosion, both 3RD and 4TH would have been destroyed, together with the lady accountant who told to leave, the clinic...and me.

Surprisingly, I was holding a recorder when it started so i had the drill recorded. Nakakatawa. "Kasalukuyan pong sumasabog ang SDA building...pati ako."

Then, stupid things began to happen.

The firetruck could not reach the "fire" in the 4TH. Hindi kaya ng water pressure. All it did was wet the walls and clean the mirrors of 1st-3rd floors. Malinis na tuloy ang SDA building ngayon. I can conclude that the SDA building would be hard to evacuate and save during times like these.

Wanting to be heroes, some tried rappelling...pero dun sila sa maliit na pader nag-rappel. What's the use? Why did it had a dying person sa wall na iyon? There wasn't even a fire escape or some tunnel to go there [supposedly].

Funny part was the rappellers were more like humping each other than saving each other. It was the first R18 fire drill ever.

I think the drill failed. There were still people sa 11TH floor when the explosion happened. I could even sneak into some floors. Masyadong mediocre ang sweep nila. The fire drill was also expected by the people. They just wasted precious time and resources, only to receive laughs and probably harsh criticisms.
